As a Catering Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while upholding Gloucester Services' core colleague values of warmth, graft, and courage. Your leadership will drive our team to consistently achieve high standards of service while fostering a positive work environment that values hard work, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead the shift with enthusiasm and integrity, ensuring the team is aligned to deliver outstanding customer service and efficiency at all times.
Oversee daily and weekly tasks, including opening the building at 6am and closing the building at 10pm, cash handling, and stock management.
Complete health and safety, as well as food safety checks, in line with company policies, maintaining a safe environment for both customers and staff.
Ensure the deployment of colleagues based on business needs, assigning the right people to the right roles, and manage break times according to customer demand.
Customer Service:
Support colleagues in resolving customer complaints, striving for positive outcomes to maintain customer satisfaction.
Actively look for improvements in service and identify opportunities that could be of benefit to the business.
Team Development:
Support our Colleague Trainers and Learning team to provide guidance and training to new team members through their 12-week engagement period, along with ongoing training for all staff to ensure up-to-date skills.
Address colleague concerns, including punctuality, attendance, and performance through coaching, creating a team that consistently exemplifies our values.
Standards and Compliance:
Ensure the environment is clean, organised, and fully compliant with legal standards and internal policies.
Conduct smooth shift handovers with the next Service leader, using walkarounds to update on essential shift information.
Implement company products and standards across the department in line with corporate guidelines.

About you:
We are looking for Service Leaders who have the ability to lead and motivate a team on a daily basis in a fast moving environment. Great communication skills and a can do attitude are essential as well as high standards of excellence within delivery of quality food, customer service and cleanliness.
Experience of leading team in a fast paced, high volume catering environment would be a distinct advantage although a willingness to learn and a positive attitude go a long way too.
